Following on from my post on Sattvic foods (energizing and balancing foods), now it's about Rajastic foods. In the right quantity, they can energise the nervous sytem and help give a person drive. But too much of them (which is normally the case) can be over-stimulating, and result in a person feeling anxious, agitated, overwhelmed, hyperactive and perhaps also greedy and aggressive. You got it right - coffee and tea are on the list, as are spicy, sour, salty and overly sweet foods. Add chocolate to the list (my weakness) and ice-cream, plus other nerve-stimulating foods like onion and garlic. Everybody needs different types of foods in different quantities.
