Food combining explanation

After my 'no fruits and dairy' post I understand that to keep my followers (and friends!), a bit more back story is needed. Food combining is a big topic in Ayurveda. The concept is that each food item has its own unique energies which effects the digestive system and body in a unique way. When foods with very different energetic make-ups are mixed, it can be too much for the digestive fire and cause problems such as indigestion, bloating, gas and other issues. So in preparation for future posts, this is the background on food combining.
